The Sultan of Symmetry never had it easy when it came to life. Throughout his lifetime Flex Wheeler has suffered various life-threatening ailments. From battling a rare kidney disease to losing his leg the 57-year-old bodybuilding champion has faced many physical adversities that have overcome every one of them. The five-time Iron Man Pro Champion unfortunately has hit another roadblock and is going through a severe health crisis at the moment.

The bodybuilding champ updated his followers and well-wishers on Instagram about his condition And promised to keep everyone updated about his problems through this challenging period.

Flex Wheeler faces immense danger

The Instagram post is a picture of a text that came from the medical officials and is speaking about a synovial cyst arising from the left facet joint that extends to the spinal canal and affects the nerve. Needless to say, a medical diagnosis like this doesn’t just take a toll on the body but on the mind as well. And as strong and resilient as Flex Wheeler is, he’s still human. In the same post, Wheeler has also spoken about what the diagnosis has done to his mental health in a long note.

The man who has had more than 40 surgeries wrote about how he had already experienced a traumatic exacerbation of his already existing back problem and the pain was overwhelming. He also expressed that his pain level is extremely high and due to the emergency, he was taken to the ER. However, he also assured his will wishes that he was receiving “dedicated care and attention from medical professionals” who are working endlessly to find a solution to the problem.

He extended his gratitude to his fans and said, “I am incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and kindness that has been shown to me.”
