The period between the 1950s and the 1970s is believed to be the golden era of bodybuilding. This era has a particular place in the history of the sport because the greatest physiques ever were carved at that time, some of which the community is still in awe of to this day. The symmetry and form of athletes during this era were near flawless and aesthetically pleasing, an aspect arguably not so prevalent among today’s pros.

Even though knowledge and information were still emerging and evolving in those times, the athletes managed to showcase arguably superior finesse.
