Speaking in a fresh interview, Stewart revealed that he has been quite mindful of his health and body. Even at 78, the singer manages to work out between shows, and regularly every week. He claimed that people cannot imagine how fit he feels even today.?

As per the interview with People, apart from swimming and doing underwater SAS training in his pool, the British icon also trains four days a week. His workouts range from track runs to playing soccer. More so, even on the day of the interview, Stewart claimed to have completed 45 minutes of cardio. He said he performed the workout at the “highest maximum heart rate I possibly could given my age.?

The London-native added, “I work out extensively.” He also emphasized that even though he works out a lot, the star has been ?generally very fit? because he?d played soccer throughout his life. Besides, Stewart seemed irked by the presumption that he is a smoker. ?I don’t smoke. It’s funny, critics keep saying on this tour, ‘Oh, he’s gone off the stage to have a rest.’ No, I haven’t!? he exclaimed in a chat with People.?

He clarified he goes off stage simply because he is drowning or ?wringing wet? in sweat. Furthermore, the Sailing singer asserted, ?I’m so bl***y fit, you won’t believe it.? The star noted that surviving on tour now is much easier than how it used to be with his bandmates. He travels in his private jet, stays in the best hotels, and enjoys life on weekends. ?I think I deserve it,? Rod noted.?
