The bodybuilding community recently lost a female athlete to a tragic car accident in Boa Vista, Brazil. Ariane Real da Silva is a professional bodybuilder and mother to a 15-year-old. The 31-year-old competed in Boa Vista’s Miss Bikini competition in 2016 and secured the overall title. She was training to participate in the Roraima Classic bodybuilding event in the coming April.

But fate tragically ended the life of the bodybuilder as she died along with her female friend in a horrific car crash after a young drunk man clashed their vehicle with his.

31-year-old bodybuilder lost her life in a tragic accident

Ariane Real da Silva and her childhood friend Layse Sampaio da Conceicao died when their car met with an unfortunate car crash in the early hours of Saturday near a crossroad. While Silva left behind a 15-month-old, Conceicao survived by a 5-year-old son and husband. The accused driver, Fernando Takao Marisihiqui Filho, is 23 years old and was apparently overspeeding while driving at 62 mph in a 37 mph zone. 

The engineering student was high on alcohol, taking vodka shots before the incident, and had had four beer cans earlier that night. However, the lawyer of the student stated that the accused had no intention to be the cause of death of others to the media. While Silva died on the spot due to a cervical fracture and asphyxia, Conceicao had to undergo surgery because of blood accumulation between her lungs. However, she succumbed to cardiac arrest at 4:00 P.M. 

Mourning the loss of her bodybuilder friend, Nayara dos Santos Souza Barros confessed to local media, “I’m sad because she was going to win. She was already training; she had big dreams and was very hard-working and dedicated,” as per The Sun. Last year, another young bodybuilder died in an accident.

However, in his teens, he impressed the online bodybuilding community, who believed that he would be a Mr. Olympia champion very soon. The Instagram influencer with 91,000 followers died three weeks before a big bodybuilding event.

This year has been rough for the bodybuilding community as almost half a dozen bodybuilders passed away due to various reasons.
