Strongmen are all about proving to the world how physically strong they are. To achieve this, they often try to beat their own personal records and try their best at lifting the heaviest weights and doing the most shocking lifts. Reflecting a similar thought process, the current World’s Strongest Man, Mitchell Hooper, recently shared a where he was seen attempting a 455 lbs lift.
However, as the strongman could not properly finish his lift, he announced something extremely shocking. Hooper wrote how he is likely not strong at all because of one lift mishap. Let us look at what really happened that made the strongman feel that way.

In his latest Instagram video, Hooper shared a clip of him doing a lift of 455 lbs. However, as he tried doing it, his physique faltered, and he was seen having difficulty completing the lift. Thus, in the caption of his post, he wrote, “I only split jerk because I’m not actually strong. 206kg (455lbs)”

However, only a day ago the strongman was seen doing chronological lifts with “320kg, 320kg, 343kg, 366kg, 706lbs, 706lbs, 756lbs, 807lbs.” And in the same post, he also explained how strong he truly felt, having penned, “I have never been stronger,” in the caption. In yet another post not long ago he had also announced how he would not be doing big lifts until it starts counting, signifying his intentions to save his best for strongman competitions.

As his latest video signifies, Hooper is certainly not one of those athletes who find it hard to be open about their weaknesses. He even jokes about them at times as seen when he faced certain challenges in a ’bout’ against some 4th-grade girls.

In one of his YouTube videos, Hooper had shared how he was going to compete against some 4th-grade girls. He announced, “I’m the World’s Strongest Man. Time to see how many 4th graders it takes to take me down.” He also stated how he would not bring about his ego and check how strong the fourth graders truly are. He said, “Before I put my ego on the line for your entertainment, I want to test these girls out to prove how strong they really are.”

But as the strongman started going through all the little challenges, he had to deal with the longest plank. Although Hooper managed to plank for 2 minutes and 30 seconds straight, he was not declared as the winner. He stated, “Believe it or not, the World’s Strongest Man simply can’t keep up to some 4th-grade girls.”
