Laura Ortiz recently took to her official Reddit page and shed light on the fact that she is finally a step closer to her dreams by acquiring the IFBB Pro title. She says, “A couple of days has passed now and I’m finally been accepting the fact than I am now an IFBB Figure Pro! 😭” However, the road has not been easy for her. She started Bodybuilding because she found solace in the gym and the only reason she got in was so that she could come out stronger.

She was harassed and bullied at school because of her broad physique, which led to ED. Furthermore, she also fell prey to domestic abuse from her toxic partner, and the gym was her only escapade. She wrote, “I refused to be that person again, to continue accepting so much bad stuff just for existing. I responded to lifting weights very well and found comfort in having consistency and a routine to follow and finding that safe place.”

She also admitted to being suicidal. However, there is always a ray of sunshine and that was her trainer’s partner for her, who was a bikini model. She inspired her to be like her and ever since then, everything changed for her. She said, “It’s time to take this physique to the ultimate level so it’s back to building and see you guys soon on the pro stage! I’m sure it will be a great experience!” Her post has taken the fitness world by storm and she is literally the talk of the Internet now.

The entire fitness community showered her post with appreciation and congratulated her on the new journey that she is about to embark on as a professional.
