In the bodybuilding world, apart from the visual aesthetics, what makes an athlete stand out is strength and there is no doubt that with their exceptional feats of strength, Jay Cutler and Brian Shaw are indelible icons in the realms of the sport. Their achievements have been unparalleled and they have managed to garner the attention of the entire fitness community at every occasion.

Brian Shaw with his significant presence in the World’s Strongest Man championships and Jay Cutler with his four victories at the Mr. Olympia championships, indeed have a lot in common. Starting from their dedication and passion for the sport to another very important factor that was recently pointed out by the IFBB Pro Coach.

Milos Sarcev points out the line of similarity between Jay Cutler and Brian Shaw

In one of the recent episodes of The Cutler Cast, Jay Cutler and Matt Daniels managed to bring about the IFBB Pro coach Milos Sarcev, they had a rather unexpected revelation. While Daniels spoke about how dedicated and thoughtful Brian Shaw is. He even spoke about the major expo that was organized by him and the level of support it received from the bodybuilding community.

To this,  pointing out the similarity between Jay Cutler and Brian Shaw, Milos Sarcev replied, “I think Brian Shaw is equivalent to Jay Cutler. Popularity, I mean you said that the moment when all this Strongmen were there and crying because he’s retiring, I mean this could be a huge event.”

Well, not to forget that even the four-time Mr. Olympia champion thinks that he has a lot of things in common with the recently retired Strongman Brian Shaw.

Jay Cutler calls Brian Shaw his twin

In another episode of The Cutler Cast, where Jay Cutler and Matt Daniels, his manager were discussing the retirement of Brian Shaw, Cutler was pretty much impressed listening to how no hurdles could ever stop the Strongman Beast from taking part in any competition that he had already registered for. Jay Cutler said, “It sounds like there’s a lot of great things going on that his transition will be similar to mine. Kind of funny, because we have a lot of similarities in our career…”

Both the legends not only have won the same world titles, but both won the same Arnold Classic trophies and even their retirements had a gap of 10 years.
