After notable fitness sensation, Jo Lindner?s demise due to an aneurysm, the bodybuilding world has not been able to shift from related discussions. Former IFBB athlete Dennis James recently dropped a podcast on a matter that is worth shedding light on. The official channel of Muscle and Fitness in collaboration with The Menace Podcast with Dennis James shared a video featuring the co-hosts and former bodybuilder David Johnson as the guest star.

The video reflected on the safety aspects of bodybuilding which urged Johnson to recall his nightmarish experience with an aneurysm. He narrated the turn of events that led to the condition and how he tackled it.?

David Johnson?s terrifying health struggle

The new episode of The Menace Podcast rolled in a few hours ago. It featured the athletes all gathered up to share their insights on all things bodybuilding. Classic Physique Pro competitor, David Johnson, also once worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the popular fitness magazine, Muscular Development.?

Speaking of his past experience with aneurysms, the former athlete revealed that only three years ago he found out about aortic aneurysms, and he was also suffering from it. ?I thought what the hell is this about,? Johnson recalled. After a diagnosis, he found out that his aorta was a bit enlarged and needed to be fixed.?

Now, after the treatment, the athlete claimed to have panic attacks owing to the condition. Hence, the American athlete added, ?I’m going to the gym now every time I’m under a bench press, I think I’m having an aortic dissection because I feel a little pain.? As per his revelation, there are a lot of people that have enlarged aortas, which is called aortic aneurysms, and it is treated by restricting it from getting any bigger. However, apart from Joesthetics, there is another athlete who succumbed to the condition.?

Another victim of an aneurysm

As per a report by Powerlifting Motivation, it was found out that late bodybuilder George Peterson III also suffered from a similar fate as Jo. Two years ago, the former Mr. Olympia contender passed away at the mere age of 37. Although the direct cause of death was unknown initially, it was, later on, speculated that it could have been an aneurysm.?

Peterson?s co-athlete, Dave Palumbo, disclosed that they found him lying unconscious in his hotel room with his nose bleeding. Da Bull was an iconic competitor on the rise. But unfortunately, life took a wrong turn for him.?
