While there is a growing trend of fitness enthusiasts hitting the gym, many find it hard to control their diet. The internet is replete with advice ranging from intermittent fasting to eating every two hours, but there is no clear-cut stand on the issue. Earlier, fitness coach Ben Azoulay took to social media and pointed out a worrying trend of overconsumption of food. Let’s see if his words hold any power.

Ben Azoulay pointed out that human beings had to hunt at the beginning and were left without food for long hours. The concept of hunger, then and now, has evolved to a great extent. While the older generation understood the true meaning of food cravings, the present generation eats out of boredom. Azoulay claims that “….hunger is not truly hunger nowadays. It’s a full-on addiction.”

The video seems to have resonated with netizens as the post has already garnered 1 million views. Moving on, the fitness influencer attributed this habit to the culture of consumerism and social media. “The fact that the media has come out with everything that shows you and programs you that you need to constantly eat…” the motivator added.

Adding to the thought, the Terminator actor said in his Pump Club Newsletter, “Good health isn’t about perfect execution. It’s about knowing you can’t screw up if you take a different approach.” Speaking from the “positive corner of the Internet, the Governator shows the good and bad sides of every diet. The bodybuilder opined, “Intermittent fasting doesn’t outperform other diets”. He added, “But that doesn’t mean closing the kitchen after dinner is a bad idea.”

Comparing a low-carb diet, Schwarzenegger claimed, “No, insulin doesn’t correlate cleanly with subsequent eating and weight gain, but that doesn’t mean cutting out sugar and refined grains is a bad idea. In fact, it’s a damn good idea”. The 7-time Mr. Olympia asked people not to run behind a perfect diet but to stick diligently to anyone. He wants fitness enthusiasts to find a method that requires them to eat less and can be easily adapted to their lifestyle. What are your thoughts on Ben Azoulay’s opinion on consuming food?
