The Mutant, Nick Walker, left the bodybuilding sphere startled at the withdrawal he took from Olympia 2023 owing to his hamstring injury. The king of the unique physique in the world could not make his way to his dream competition. He had to even leave the Olympia conference in the middle.
After this unexpected incident, he had to go through criticism and disapproval. However, he has not taken anything to heart, and with the same passion and vision; he seems to move forward in his life. Recently, he shared a story on his Instagram account where he seemed confident about his win in Olympia if he had participated in the competition.

Recently, Walker picked up one of his fans’ questions from an Ask Me Anything session and showed it on his Instagram story. The fan asked Nick, “If you did compete at the Olympia, what would you had placed at in your honest opinion? Love from NZ.” Giving an honest opinion, Nick talked about how, “If I did do the Olympia, honest opinion, no disrespect to anyone else, but I think I would have won.”
The bodybuilder went on to talk about how looking at his preparations this year and his conditioning this year, the trophy would have been his if he had competed. Despite missing out on the Olympia, Walker did not show any sign of worry or disappointment on his forehead.
Backing out from the competition was not an easy decision to make for him and it created a stir in the entire fitness world. Many bodybuilding legends had predicted Walker to be a major contender for the marquee event. But unfortunately, he could not even set foot on the stage. After the injury, Walker took to his Instagram account where he expressed his feelings and interacted with his fans.

In the Instagram post, Walker expressed his mental and emotional situation. He said, “Um you know so, mentally it’s uh it’s been draining it’s been a little emotional um but I’m still here and I’m still pushing through as best as I can.”
Being courageous and hopeful about life despite such a big failure after years of training in the gym, Nick further added, “I’m staying very hopeful um, it’s just hard cuz you know, I think uh mentally for me I was counted out this year. You know cuz I lost the Arnold and I knew what I was bringing to the stage this year and having this happen with such a beautiful prep has been um rough been a little hard for me.”
