“I Was Getting Upset Nobody Was Putting Any Respect on His Name”: Amidst Chris Bumstead and Urs Kalecinski Rivalry, Mr. Olympia President Cites Another Bodybuilder As Threat

The Mr. Olympia championship is among one of the most prestigious battles fought in the realm of bodybuilding. However, the fight this year is definitely going to be absolutely brutal, given the fueled-up athletes, all ready to snatch the title. Among all the other rivalries, the one that stands out is the rivalry between Chris Bumstead and Urs Kalecinski.

While Chris Bumstead is prepping exceptionally hard to defend the title for himself, in order to win the tag for the fifth time, the runner in the Classic Division is also pushing his limits to snatch it from him. Amidst all of this, the President of the Mr. Olympia announces another threat that might come in between.

Erin Banks praises Charles Griffen’s physique 

The official YouTube channel of Mr. Olympia, @olympiatv, recently took to their page and shared a video of Erin Banks, the President of Olympia. In the video, he was seen talking about the different athletes who have the capability to present themselves as a threat on stage this year.

Out of all the other exceptionally ripped athletes, Banks pointed out to Charles Griffen and exclaimed how it was a disappointment that no one was thinking of him winning the title. He said, “I was getting upset nobody was putting any respect on his name and he heard it and now you better put some respect on his name.”

He continues talking about how Griffen is absolutely muscular and he was conditioned to dance poses with a lot of energy. Now, Charles Griffen might have managed to capture the eyes of the President, however, the King of bodybuilding has a different prediction for the Olympia win.

Ronnie Coleman predicts the winner of the 2023 Mr. Olympia 

Ronnie Coleman, one of the greatest bodybuilders in the Men’s Open Division in the entire history of bodybuilding hosted a Q&A on YouTube in order to interact with his followers. As the video gradually progressed, he was asked whether he thinks Derek Lunsford is all set to win the title of Mr. Olympia this year, after being defeated by Hadi Choopan last year.

To this Ronnie Coleman agrees and says, “Yes, I do.” This is not the first time the King confidently spoke about the legendary bodybuilder winning the show. In one of their workout videos together, he said that Lunsford has all the tools that are required to become the winner and well, the fitness community too has a similar prediction.
