Although Arnold Schwarzenegger had proven his talent as a versatile actor time and again, still, the majority of his filmography revolved around Action. The bodybuilder and one of the most prominent fitness icons hence mostly indulged in action and fighting scenes where at times he had to go through brutal injuries on the sets. One such accident took place while filming for “Total Recall”, where Schwarzenegger got his finger broken by someone else.
The seven-time Mr. Olympia title winner bodybuilding legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger bridged the gap between two industries whose preference for aesthetics has no bar limits. The Austrian Oak had several moments when he had injuries on the sets like during “Conan The Barbarian” and “Total Recall”.

While on a talk show, Arnold Schwarzenegger was featured taking part in a true and false game. when he was asked whether it was true or not that he got injured on the sets of Total Recall, Schwarzenegger replied positively. He recalled the incident with much detail, “So broken fingers from the fight scenes. That was I had my hand at the wrong place when the guy kicked me in the face, you know. I tried to block it rather than just take the take hit and so he broke my finger.”
Furthermore, Schwarzenegger also recalled that it was not even more than a week after the incident that he started chasing after a train. In that scene, Arnie was supposed to break a window and then the explosions were supposed to take place safely, however, things did not go as planned. He remembered, “I cut everything down here W and I was bleeding like crazy.”
But that was not the only time Arnold Schwarzenegger had to face something tragic and unlucky. While filming for another film, he was bedridden due to injuries and even ended up compromising his honeymoon.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was bed-ridden whilst shooting Predator
In a resurfaced video, Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen talking about how in the sets of Predator, no one was safe or free or injured, not even the crew members. This was the time when the Austrian Oak was also newly married to journalist Maria Shriver before the shoots began. He confessed, “Oh we had the injuries like burns and stuff like that, I got dehydrated one time, at one point and that was in bed for four or five days and you know I had intravenous feeding and those are the kind of things that will creep up after you knew it will happen throughout you know”.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s leap into the entertainment world brought about a revolution in the intermixing of both fitness and Hollywood. But again, it always came with a cost. The set of “Predator” was no cakewalk. Arnie and his crew underwent quite a many injuries often, owing to the risky stunts in the scene. Well, in Arnie’s words, no Stuntman ever came home uninjured!
