Lexi Reed is a living example of success after you overcome your setbacks. The fitness influencer had started to post her transformation on Instagram in 2021. She showed off her progress with her health and fitness despite hospitalization due to calciphylaxis, which left her unable to walk or stand on her own for several months.
The girl who walked into the gym at 485 lbs and lost 312lbs is now an inspiring fitness influencer who motivates others. In a recent Instagram video, she expressed her epiphany on the first week of her exercise and tackled it without emotional eating.

While speaking with Chris Powell and Matthew Blades of I Needed That, she spoke about her journey with fitness and her relationship with food. In episode number 51 she was the guest, and she expressed how the fitness journey started for her. The 32-year-old admitted that she was an emotional eater, and whenever she felt down or upset, she would want to eat her favorite food.

Reed narrated, “I had a bad day because I was an emotional eater and I just wanted Taco Bell.” She felt like she did not want to go to the gym, but after going to the gym reluctantly, she had an epiphany. Reed said, “Oh I feel so much better working out than I would’ve felt for those five minutes…” The fitness influencer realized that going to the gym and working out would give her the same amount of happiness that eating her favorite junk food would only for a few minutes, so ultimately going to the gym was a better option.
Even after suffering from calciphylaxis she did not give up her weight loss journey and lost more than 312 LBS. Reed is still advocating for fitness and chronicling her journey on Instagram, which is inspiring many people. Reed is an advocate for body positivity and spreads awareness about loving yourself.
Her battle with weight loss and criticism

Due to her illness, she faced organ failure in January 2022, and fans criticized her action of crowdfunding for medical help but her husband came to the rescue. In March 2022 Reed confessed that she was thankful to the people who donated for her health and saved her.
She lost 312 pounds and told People’s magazine that she started the weight-loss journey as part of a challenge to cut off junk food and soda from her life.
