In a recent reel posted by Lunsford on his Instagram, he says, “I wanna kill this prep.” He further adds, “I want this. I wanna comeback.” No one feels the urgency of an improvement as much as the runner-ups, who knows they have potential but they are aware of their flaws at the same time.

Derek feels the burning desire to win 2023 Mr. Olympia

Derek remarks at the onset of 11 weeks, “There’s no more time to waste. Every workout matters”. He has made up his mind, and the adamant nature of self-discipline has never failed a man before. Furthermore, he adds, “I wanna bring it this year. I mean, I just don’t want to bring my best, I wanna freaking bring it dude.” He is fully aware of the challenging moments that await him, yet is confident enough to face them. “I got this burning desire inside, and it’s coming.”
