59-year-old Ronnie Coleman has suffered for years after undergoing 14 major surgeries. However, despite being unable to walk without assistance, Coleman often collaborated with bodybuilders and strength athletes half his age. Earlier, the former Mr. Olympia teamed up with powerlifting stars and fitness influencers Larry Wheels and Joshua Baker, a.k.a. The Gym Reaper.
Larry Wheels is a veteran in the social media fitness space. However, The Gym Reaper gained popularity relatively recently after his mind-boggling bench-pressing prowess. Featured multiple times in Larry Wheels’s videos, the powerlifter got the opportunity to work with Ronnie Coleman. The fitness community was in awe of the eight-time champion motivating The Gym Reaper.

Ronnie ‘The King’ Coleman, stood in the middle at the beginning of the collab video. Despite finding it difficult to stand, Coleman beat the pain and put his arm on Baker’s shoulder. The 59-year-old announced the collab and uttered his signature catchphrase, “Yeah buddy!” to set the mood. However, Larry Wheels uttered the other famous Ronnie Coleman catchphrase, “light weight.”

The video was filmed in the former Mr. Olympia’s own Ronnie Coleman Signature Series (RCSS) Gym. The King didn’t do bench presses due to back problems. However, Coleman, who could benchpress “six plates” on each side during his prime, spurred on The Gym Reaper. As Wheels spotted the powerlifter, he literally threw weights in the gym, impressing The King himself. Fitness fans were equally in awe of Big Boy Blake’s strength.

The fitness community felt nothing short of impressed
The online fitness and bodybuilding community couldn’t believe their eyes. Besides being massive, the way Baker performed bench presses with ease fooled fans into thinking he was lifting light. “Dude made the 45s (lbs) look so small, I thought they were 25s (lbs) at first,” wrote one fan who couldn’t believe how easy The Gym Reaper made it look.

“Seeing you next to Ronnie is insane. Massive Power,” wrote one impressed fan. Another fan left a similar comment after realizing how massive the powerlifter must be. “Only seeing you standing next to Big Ron, I got a real glimpse of how big you truly are. Huge W,” wrote the fan. However, one fan thought Larry Wheels seemed “out of it the whole time… lol.”
