In the world of bodybuilding, athletes don’t always compete in the professional arena for a long time. Often, they retire due to reasons that have to do with their health or injuries. Jay Cutler is one such bodybuilder who left the sport in 2013. However, Cutler continues to maintain his physique even now.

Despite his retirement, the four-time Mr. Olympia winner continues his connection with the sport. He is an active personality on the internet these days and continues to be a big name in the industry for the advice he gives out to young fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders. Cutler recently talked about the sudden retirement of a two-time Mr. Olympia winner.

Big Ramy, whose real name is Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay, is an Egyptian bodybuilder. He won the Mr. Olympia title two times in 2020 and 2021. But this year, he surprised everyone by deciding not to compete. Ramy, who is 39 years old, explained that he had too many injuries in 2022, and that’s why he would not be able to perform at his best on stage.

In a YouTube video, Cutler expressed his disappointment and speculated about the reasons behind Ramy’s surprising retirement. Cutler said, “I thought Ramy would definitely compete I was disappointed this year here he’s out.” He further added, “I just think too much negativity forced him to not do it.”

Cutler wondered aloud about who would step up to become the top contender in Ramy’s absence and who would garner the most attention. He said, “I am curious to see you know who the top dog’s going to be and you know who will they hype like who’s going to be the pusher, like that could have or should have or almost won.” This is not the first time that Cutler has talked about Big Ramy. Earlier, Cutler had talked about his thoughts on Ramy’s decision to stay away from competitions for the time being.
