The day of love, widely regarded as Valentine’s Day, elicits a wide array of opinions. While some embrace the entire idea and take the opportunity to express their affection, for others it is just a commercial occasion.

Greg Doucette, the IFBB Pro fitness coach, recently took to his official Instagram account on the special occasion and shared his thoughts about the day. He mentioned how he is not a big fan of Valentine’s Day, and believes that it is one of the most unhealthy days of the year. Here’s why he thinks that way.

Bodybuilding beast Greg Doucette, in the video, said, “For me, I don’t care about Valentine’s Day. I think it’s meaningless and pointless. I think it’s a way for people to make money and for me, it’s one of the most unhealthy days of the year.” He went on to add how men are given the pressure to shower their women with all sorts of gifts to make them feel loved.

However, men who do not wish to celebrate Valentine’s Day, are out down. But according to the bodybuilder, it is not mandatory to go beyond your will and do all these things. He said, “For me Valentine’s Day should be every day.” He adds that it is not about spending loads of money, rather the whole point is about being a good person.

Nobody should be obliged to do something. Otherwise, there is no love in it. He advised me to only do whatever makes me happy rather than falling under the perils of society. Apart from the highlights of Valentine’s Day, Greg Doucette is after the Men’s Wellness category that has recently been introduced into bodybuilding competitions. He has multiple times shared his thoughts on it and goes on to point out why it should not be official.
