The highest stage any bodybuilder aspires to ace is Mr. Olympia. However, the number of compromises and dedication it asks is beyond imagination at times. Mauro Fialho, an IFBB pro, is soon to debut in the upcoming Mr. Olympia in November. Therefore, while gearing up for the event with great precision, he revealed a shocking aspect of his preparation in a recent interview with World Nation News on Saturday. 

When asked about his diet regime, Fialho claimed to be ready to sacrifice any and everything in his food choices to achieve his peak physique. He has decided to disregard those nutritions entirely, which do not contribute to his game.

As per the World News Nation interview, the Brazillian-Spanish athlete was clear about his diet goals. He asserted that if his prep coach asked him to survive on marbles for years, he would be ready to do it. He’s not worried about the “sacrifice” and is grateful that his work and lifestyle make room for six meals a day. 

Besides that, Fialho’s trainer does the work of intense routine calculations of weights, nutrients, and “everything.” “We adjust all the nutrients up or down, playing with more or less cardio,” the 31-year-old athlete added. He shared that he’s never irked by the topic of food. Moreover, with time, he has grown into a more professional individual, tightening up on his diet routines.

“I no longer eat for taste, but for performance,” he detailed. Interestingly, the kind of food which doesn’t add value to his goals doesn’t appeal to him. Hence, the 6’2” star has seemed to “cancel” his taste for food. Soon to compete against the best in the world, only time will tell how far his sacrifices shall take him.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fialho was instantly gripped by the world of sports. Nevertheless, an unfortunate injury concluded his football career, thus gravitating towards weightlifting and eventually to bodybuilding, to correct his physique and give his mind to. The sport caught up to the athlete and before he knew it, he had embarked on his bodybuilding journey at the mere age of 16. 

He quickly gained recognition in his country and later moved to Spain to pursue a fitness modeling career. Fialho also boasts of a massive social media fanbase on Instagram and TikTok, per reports. Fast forward to 2018, the pro won the Men’s physique category at the Barcelona Bodybuilding Championships. Competing his way into the sphere, he has been consistent with his performance, thus, achieving his Pro card at an IFBB event in Portugal.
