2021 Arnold Classic winner Nick Walker has established himself among the best bodybuilders in the world within three years after turning pro. Last year, Walker finished in third place at the Mr. Olympia and won the People’s Champion title. This year, Walker aimed to win the contest among the favorites besides Derek Lunsford, Hadi Choopan, and Samson Dauda.
However, Walker’s 2023 Mr. Olympia came to an abrupt end a mere 48 hours before the show. The 29-year-old teared up as he announced his withdrawal from the Super Bowl of Bodybuilding. Walker said he had suffered a hamstring injury the night before arriving in Ohio. Despite trying everything in his power to at least compete in the show, he couldn’t mitigate the effects. However, just weeks after suffering the injury, Walker stepped onto the bodybuilding stage.

Earlier, the 29-year-old guest posed at the NPC High Roller Royal. Despite staying away from intense training for weeks and not training his lower body at all, the Olympian astounded audiences with his physique. The bodybuilder showed some of the improvements he made after finishing second at the 2023 Arnold Classic.

While Walker had appeared on the Arnold Classic stage shredded, he had lost size. Hence, the 29-year-old aimed to step on the Olympia stage with the right balance of conditioning and muscularity. While the audience never got to see his peak at the Olympia stage, Walker impressed fans.
While his legs looked undersized, Walker’s quads and even his injured hamstring looked shredded. Some fans criticized the bodybuilder for having a bulkier midsection than last year. However, the IFBB Pro hasn’t trained properly for almost almost four weeks. “I think I made my point,” wrote Walker in the caption of his post. People can’t wait to see how the bodybuilder improves for next year’s Mr. Olympia.

What’s next for The Mutant
While Nick Walker has started his off-season, he won’t be appearing on the 2024 Arnold Classic stage. The Mutant expected to win the 2023 Mr. Olympia, and settling for less caused him considerable mental distress. Hence, the 29-year-old is focused on getting back to 100% and recovering from his hamstring tear.

However, the incredible guest posing indicates that Walker’s recovery has been smooth so far. During posing, the 2022 People’s Champion didn’t seem to be in pain, nor did he struggle to hold a pose. It seems the bodybuilder wants to take his time before participating in a bodybuilding show to qualify for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. What did you think of Nick Walker’s post-Olympia physique?
