O’Shea began drinking at the young age of 14 and got addicted to cocaine by the time he was 17 years old. “I lost everything. My mum wouldn’t answer the phone. I had been couchsurfing for months,” he recalls. Being a homeless drug addict in his 30s, he realized one day sitting near the canal that he needed to change himself. In a video that has been circulating all over the internet, Barry can be seen talking about his experience in jail and rehab center and how he changed his life all over with the help of fitness.

“I served 9 months, then I went to rehab. I actually followed through with what I said, and it’s been 4 years now and 1 month, and I’m still clean,” Barry revealed. Continuing further, he disclosed, “After that day, that I gave up; I’ve built my own business, got a whole new life, and I help people for a living, and that was the last time I ever set foot in that courtroom. And I’ll never be back there again.”
