Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver appeared as the ideal power couple that anyone would dare not meddle with. Yet, things fell apart after a predicament. After 25 years of being married, the actor had to face the harsh reality of separating from Maria, owing to his love affair with the housemaid, Mildred Baena. Having fathered a child apart from his family is a fact that seemed incompressible for Shriver. Hence, she filed for divorce, which was approved nearly a decade later. 

After things settled down, both the stars moved on with their lives. Therefore, speaking in an interview in May, Arnie opened up about his girlfriend Heather Milligan. The bodybuilding legend expressed his love and affection for his 48-year-old partner publicly while also hinting at his current relationship with Shriver.

Since the separation, the 76-year-old star has regretted his actions and wished he could change things back to normal. Nevertheless, following his ideology of not looking back on what’s been already done, Arnie has clearly moved on with his life as he talked about his girlfriend in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. 

When asked if he missed being married, the former bodybuilder admitted that the divorce was a harsh time for him. However, moving on, he confessed to being deeply in love with Heather. “I have a wonderful girlfriend, [physical therapist] Heather Milligan, who is very successful. I’m really proud of her, and I love her,” Arnie said in the interview.

Milligan is a professional physical therapist, and, as per the actor’s revelation, is thriving in her domain. She founded her own physiotherapy company, Elite OrthoSport, in 2013. Quite interestingly, his confession did not stop at his current girlfriend. Shifting from Milligan to Shriver, Arnie also put forth his admiration for his ex-wife.

Soon after the bodybuilder expressed his love for Milligan, Arnie seized the opportunity to reestablish his undying affection for journalist and ex-wife, Maria. He said, “At the same time, I love my wife.” The star athlete added that they are “really good friends” and maintain a close-knit relationship even now. 

Arnold took pride in the way he and Maria raised their kids, despite the challenges of their marriage and public scrutiny. He claimed that every festive holiday calls for a family gathering, be it Mother’s Day, Easter, or Christmas.
