After being shredded for a long time, the five-time Mr. Olympia has decided to put on weight for his next Mr. Olympia competition. He highlighted how our environment and perceptions play an important role in bulking. “I f**king hate food right now. I’m literally eating like a meal that I normally love and I’m just like disgusted by it,” explains Bumstead.

CBum explained that he no longer cares about the food; he just wants to complete his goal and gain weight. He shared that he is going to be in New York soon and that he will not be dining out at his favorite restaurant. He gave an example of how perceptions affect your appetite. Bumstead shared that he craves eating chicken and mustard when he restricts eating them on his own. On the other hand, now that he’s bulking, he doesn’t care about food anymore.

The five-time Mr. Olympia disclosed that he finds the concept of restricting more fascinating and said, “I definitely would rather be restricted from food and loving what I eat than the current point where I’m like having to eat as much as I can and not enjoying anything I put in my mouth.” He is aiming to gain seven pounds with his bulk, looking to achieve 265 pounds pounds.

At the beginning of 2023, the five-time Mr. Olympia had shared the three favorite meals he can eat for the rest of his life.
