Arnold Schwarzenegger was overjoyed on being a father

According to the book Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, the 75-year-old athlete explained his memory of being a new father. He never gathered that his first baby would bring him such “unbelievable” joy. However, he was aware of the fact that this is a common phenomenon in people’s lives and had been done by many. Regardless, he felt it was unique to him. 

As per his thoughts on the instance, Arnie stated in the book, “I said to myself, ‘F**k! This is my first baby!’ That’s the interesting thing about the human mind, that you can be so overwhelmed by something that billions of people in history have done.” However, he was not totally blown away by emotions. The star instantly got to work and took care of the baby.

“the nurse came in and showed us how to breastfeed,” he noted. All in all, Arnie was deeply moved and intrigued by the experience. Moreover, he confessed that when he heard the other guys saying they cried after their child was born, he felt it was nonsense. “But sure enough, when I went home and called my friends about Katherine’s birth, I cried,” the IFBB pro added. Now at 75, the athlete has transitioned into the next parenting stage of his life as a grandpa. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals what he does not want his granddaughter to inherit 

Talking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the Austrian actor got candid and admitted a hilarious revelation about himself and his granddaughter. His eldest daughter, Katherine, gave birth to her first baby, Lyla, in 2020, and Arnie had some expectations already. While he noted that the baby is gifted with a pool of great genes from the Kennedys, Schwarzeneggers, and her star father, Chris Pratt, there is one thing Arnie did not want the baby to inherit.

The bodybuilder hinted at his Austrian accent, and claimed, “Worst thing is if this kid ends up, you know, with my accent. That’s what we don’t want.” Interestingly, Arnie hardly knew any English when he moved to the US, and even though he learned the language over time, his accent stuck out. While it’s not a bad thing to have accents, he simply does not want his granddaughter to get it.
