Larry Wheels is regarded as one of the most significant powerlifters in the world of bodybuilding. Having acquired the all-time Powerlifting world record at the 2020 Arnold Sports festival with a massive 2370lbs total raw without wraps at 308lbs, he became an even bigger star among all fitness enthusiasts. The only thing that remained unaccomplished was his dream to open a gym.

Due to excessive consumption of steroids, Wheels was hospitalized as he suffered from Rhabdomyolysis. Fortunately, he is doing all the better now. After combatting the life-threatening disease, he is all set to obtain his only remaining goal in his career.

The athlete who grew from humble conditions and a hostile environment has finally opened his new Public Gym to facilitate the accessibility of fitness to everyone. After months of looking for the perfect place, he found the best spot to open his gym in Claremont. With all the proceedings almost done, he is now all set to put up equipment and make his gym ready to train.

Wheels recently took to his official YouTube channel after his recovery and shared an update about the gym. He captioned the video, “Our First Batch of Equipment is Ready!” he began the video by first flexing the shoulder press machine from the new Pro Series by Tough Stuff. He even announced that the theme of his gym would be a satin black finish and all the equipment would be of the same color and texture to get the modern rustic industrial vibe.

He moves on to show the low-row machine in his gym, which is used for the back and lats workouts. The final full-ready machine is the Isolateral lat pull-down machine, which his trainer Ryan Bentson is very excited to have. The video captivated the attention of the fitness community, and they filled the comments section with love and support.
