“I Am Severely in Pain”: 57-Year-Old Bodybuilding Legend Who Survived Over 40 Surgeries Finds a Way to Ease His Amputated Leg Pain

In the recent post by @hempehelps, Flex Wheeler is seen exposing a rather intimate and personal side of his life. He was recorded applying a Hempe product on his amputated leg. The Instagram reel attached the following quote at the start of the video: “FLEX WHEELER IFBB LEGEND, Chronic pain sufferer, Hempe Brand Ambassador”

 

In the video, Flex is reported to say, “As I said before, this is really personal. There’s no way I can fake this. And I’m not gonna fake it because I am severely in pain.” Thus confessing about the truth of his post-surgery life, Wheeler continues to show in the video his application of the Hempe product. He further mentions that it really works for him and he believes it might work for others as well.

The four-time Arnold classics champion had stunned everyone in the industry. He has had the most horrific incidents of his life, from a car crash to a kidney transplant. However, losing his leg most certainly was a blow that he could never make peace with, because his career depended a lot on his legs, for both exercising and representing the chiseled body. However, he recently won a very prestigious prize where his brilliant legwork has been mentioned.

Flex Wheeler wins the Lifetime achievement

2023 is the year for Flex. He won the Lifetime Achievement at the Arnold Sports Festival and was presented with the prize by none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. While announcing the award, the screen projected a small clip representing Wheeler’s journey, where a lot of emphasis and attention was directed to his famous Split pose. The magnificence of his leg muscles while doing the splits has to be one of the most beautiful instances in the history of bodybuilding.
