The retired professional English bodybuilder, who won the title of Mr. Olympia six times in a row from 1992 to 1997 is a standing testament to it.

He is regarded to have been one of the most muscular and biggest bodybuilders in the Golden Era of bodybuilding due to his high-intensity training, top-level conditioning, and wide and thick back. Dorian Yates, even after retiring, continues to lead an exceptionally healthy lifestyle. He uses his social media to share his gained wisdom in the sport.

Dorian Yates unravels the harsh truth of the modern world

One of the Instagram bodybuilding fan pages, @thegoldendays took to their official page and shared a throwback video of the Mass Monster, Dorian Yates, from 1997, a few weeks prior to the Mr. Olympia championship. They compiled it with an audio clip where he is stating facts about human tendencies and how the evolution of society has been affecting it.

In the video, Yates was seen talking about how it is important that human beings are put under challenging situations in order to bring about change. He said,Humans are not supposed to be comfortable. We need some challenges. We need some stress. The modern environment is taking that away and making people weak, mentally and physically.”

He went about stating how resistance is one of the primary aspects of having development in ourselves and added, We need resistance to develop, otherwise nothing’s going to change. There’s no reason to change.His own journey to the top is an example of why it is very important to cater yourself to uncomfortable conditions in order to succeed in life.

Dorian Yates once revealed his tumultuous journey to the zenith of success on his official Instagram account. He shared a transformation collage on the post, where on the left he used an image of himself when he barely got into training in 1983, and on the right, he used an image of himself where he was at his peak prepping for the Olympia.

In the caption, he wrote, My journey to the top was full of ups and downs. I sacrificed a lot in my quest to conquer the bodybuilding world… in the end, it all paid off! As the years went on from the start of my journey in 1983, the Olympia scene became more and more visible to me and I went all in…”
