The Miss Americana documentary captured various facets of the singer’s life and touched upon Swift’s relationship with food. Speaking candidly about herself, Swift said, “I tend to get triggered by something, whether it’s a picture of me where I feel like I looked like my tummy was too big or someone said that I looked pregnant or something and that’ll just trigger me to just starve a little bit, just stop eating.

The Grammy award-winning singer accepted that she wasn’t proud of her extreme behavior and slowly embraced a positive outlook about her body. “There’s always some standard of beauty that you’re not meeting,” Taylor admits in her documentary. Later, the songwriter spoke to Variety and spilled beans on why she opened up about her eating disorder.

I didn’t know if I was going to feel comfortable with talking about body image and talking about the stuff I’ve gone through in terms of how unhealthy that’s been for me — my relationship with food and all that over the years,revealed Swift in a conversation with Variety in 2020. She credited the director of the film for not missing the essence while curating the documentary. Despite all of this, Swift had inspired a popular fitness trend back in the day.

Music and fitness go hand in hand. Listening to vibrant music can enhance spirits while shedding calories at the gym or running on the field. So, in 2022, a Taylor Swift fan and popular TikToker, Allie Bennett, came up with an innovative workout routine, Treadmill Strut, which soon went viral.

The workout involves Bennett initially walking on the treadmill at a slow pace while vibing to a Taylor Swift song and increasing her speed as soon as the next song in the playlist starts. The songs in the playlist were arranged so that the frequency increased from the first to the last, helping her intensify the workout gradually.

Being in the limelight brings its own set of pros and cons, and Swift’s body image issues fall on the negative end of the spectrum.
