From bodybuilding to being a politician, and even a movie star, ‎ Arnold Schwarzenegger has seen it all. His rise to fame in Hollywood was cemented by the iconic Terminator movie by genius director James Cameron. Since then, he has not only dabbled into action movies but also into comedy. The movie True Lies, which was also with James Cameron, showed his capability of doing comedy while also being an action hero. He played the character of a family man who was trying to hide his job of being a spy from his family.

That was decades ago, but something akin to the movie character came back in 2023 when Arnie decided to star in a Netflix series, called FUBAR. Not only did these movies and TV shows make him a household name, but also increased his net worth. Just like Terminator made him a household name and increased his value, FUBAR also contributed to his net worth. Let’s see how much he earned from FUBAR at the age of 76.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with The Terminator star about the series. While talking with the Austrian Oak at his 6-acre Brentwood estate, THR asked if Schwarzenegger felt “a little surprised to still be acting,” as the movies were just one part of the “whole vision” for his career.

Arnold said that age had nothing to do with this, nor did the money. The actor, who once rejected his $187,000 Governor’s salary was very excited to return to acting at the age of 76. The superstar bodybuilding, champion and actor with a net worth of 450 million dollars explained why he was not in the show for the money.

When the host asked him if he had always been a part of the movies and his career had been versatile, he said that he never wanted to leave movies. The 80s icon also shared that he never subtracts anything from his life, but adds more to it. He said, “I still work out every day, I ride my bike every day, and I make movies — show business is another part of my life.”

The Austrian Oak also shared that bodybuilding did not give him the amount of money that Hollywood had given him. However, wealth was not the primary driving force for the progress that Arnold had made in his career. He had served the people of California as a governor without accepting any payment for seven years. He also revealed that the $187,000 cash salary was nothing compared to the peace of serving people. “I don’t need money. I get money because you have to have a certain value and the agents negotiate,” said the champion. Nonetheless, people would be curious about his earnings in the new Netflix series, so let us dive right into it.

How much did he earn for FUBAR?

This is the first leading role in a Netflix series for the action hero. For playing the head of the Brunner house, the 76-year-old made a hefty $25 million, which made him the highest-paid actor in the entire show. This was a similar situation to what he earned in one of his other roles, Mr. Freeze, in Joel Schumacher’s superhero movie, Batman & Robin. For this film, the True Lies star got a bigger cheque than Batman himself. His first large paycheck was $30 million which he took home in 1997 for this movie. He also took home $29 million for The Terminator 3 along with 20% profits from the movie.

However, the Austrian Oak has always prioritized money the least and concentrated on getting more experience. This is the same mentality that he cultivated during his entire career and further went on to become one of the greatest in the business.
