Ever since the introduction of the Classic Physique category at the Mr. Olympia, in 2016, Chris Bumstead has managed to dominate the division with his proportions, symmetry, size, and conditioning. Winning in the Classic Physique with Bumstead standing next to you is almost impossible. Proving his mettle all over again, Bumstead recently won his fifth consecutive title at this year’s Mr. Olympia.
Amidst countless others who he amazed yet again were also the likes of four times Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, IFBB Pro Milos Sarcev, and Cutler’s manager Matt. During the recent episode of Cutler’s podcast, ‘CutlerCast,’ the trio discussed and analyzed in detail the results of this year’s marquee event. While discussing Classic Physique, Cutler made an honest confession about the bodybuilding legend’s future and posed a rhetorical question.

Despite tearing his biceps at the last moment before Mr. Olympia 2022, Bumstead still managed to hide his weakness and win his fourth title. This year was no better, as Bumstead disclosed after winning this year’s title, that he tore his lats 10 weeks before this year’s competition. However, these are not problems big enough that stop the Canadian bodybuilding legend. Even though his rivals Ramon Dino and Urs improved significantly compared to last year, it still was not enough to dethrone the ‘King.’
During the latest episode of Cutler Cast, with Milos Sarcev, Cutler stated, “No, no, he’s just the best. He’s the best guy on stage you know with condition and that’s what they’re looking at.” Continuing further, he added, “Ramon definitely improved. Yeah, you know Urs was third he looked great. But Cbum just owns the stage. I mean, how’s he ever going to lose?”

Jay Cutler calls out the failures of this year
The sport of bodybuilding heavily relies on good lighting and impressive posing. If a bodybuilding show does not have good lighting, an athlete’s body might not look that good. Talking along the same lines, Cutler said, “What was going on at the time? There wasn’t smoke or anything in the prejudging right?”
