Steve Harwell founded the band in 1994 and delivered its first hit in 1997. Since then, the musician has become a pop sensation. Moreover, billboard hit “All Star” featured in many movies, like “Inspector Gadget,” “Mystery Men” and “Shrek.” It has also blasted away in many sporting events. The music became so famous that it still continues to trend in memes and parodies.

Patrick wrote “R.I.P” on his post to honor the star famous for chart-topping songs like “Walkin on the Sun” and “All Star.” Hours earlier, the bodybuilder’s son had prayed for his swift recovery. Little did he know that fate had decided otherwise.
Harwell lived a life that will inspire generations to come, leaving behind a rich legacy. Beyond ‘Shrek’ his music featured in other popular shows like ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Kim Possible’. Steve Harwell, the lead singer of the rock band Smash Mouth, passed away at the age of 56 on Monday, September 4, in Boise, Idaho. According to the band’s manager, Robert Hayes, Harwell died at his home while being surrounded by loved ones. He had been battling acute liver failure.
