The Mr. Olympia 2023 has officially begun, and audiences and followers only have to wait a few more hours until the next bodybuilding champion is crowned this year. However, the fans were disappointed to know that Brandon Curry, the 2019 Mr. Olympia champion, might back out from the ongoing event at Orlando. But something else might be cooking!

Brandon Curry can compete if his doctor allows
While the anticipation for Mr. Olympia is never-ending, it becomes more exciting if the best competitors tough it out for the title. So, when the news of Curry not participating due to unknown reasons came to light, the bodybuilding community was upset. But Curry may be back on stage if his doctor consented to compete, if reports are to be believed.
“So, what happened was, he had food poisoning, went to the hospital last night, was violently ill, and got treated, got clearance,” a journalist at the show informed. “This is coming from his wife, Brandy. I saw the text exchanges sent to someone, who I know and got clearance from the doctor to compete stating that whatever he was dealing with, is not going to affect his health in terms of competing,” Ron Harris stated.
Earlier, Harris broke the sad news of Brandon Curry not participating in Mr. Olympia 2023 after attending the Mr. Olympia press conference in Orlando.
But his latest affirmation of Curry’s presence on the stage gives a sense of relief among bodybuilding fans who are already bummed with their favorite Nick Walker being unable to make it to the show this time.
Nick Walker will not participate in 2023 Mr. Olympia
Every year, the bodybuilding fever takes over the community during the Joe Weider’s Mr. Olympia weekend. However, when everything was going fine this year, Nick Walker backed out from the show at the eleventh hour. The Mutant tore his hamstring and decided he would not compete for the Sandow trophy this year.

“There was just no shot of us placing top three at this point,” the 29-year-old confessed in an emotional Instagram video.
