Jeffrey Darko, an IFBB pro-Men’s Physique competitor and fitness model, has pulled out from the Arnold Classic due to health conditions. The Ghanaian bodybuilder, who participated in competitions such as Romania Muscle Fest and Prague Pro, is not the first person to withdraw his name from the event. Earlier, Andrew Jacked had announced something similar.
While Darko had not elaborated on the reasons behind his decision, his Instagram story might be the right place to look at to know what he was going through.

Reporting the development of Darko pulling out from the event on Instagram, Bisandtris wrote, “BREAKING: @bigblackghanaman pulls out from both Arnold Classics due to “health conditions.” The post was shared with a picture of the athlete showing his chiseled muscles in a competition, making one wonder what issues the athlete was going through. However, there was no elaboration about the same in the post. Hours before, however, the bodybuilder shared an Instagram story that might have something to do with what unfolded later.

The IFBB pro uploaded an Instagram story that might give a glimpse at his mental state given the health issues he is talking about. He shared a quote by Multi Monk which said, “Don’t count your problems count your blessings. Do it often enough and you emerge the winner. The almighty will grant you strength in times of need, peace in chaos, joy and sadness, and hope in hopelessness. The Lord of the worlds won’t disappoint.”
While one cannot deduce much from the post, it can still be seen as a sign of the bodybuilder assuring his fans that despite his withdrawal, he is still looking forward to future competitions.
Earlier, Andrew Jacked had also announced his withdrawal from the Arnold Classic, citing similar reasons to that of Darko.

The official Instagram account of Bisandtris shared Andrew Jacked’s announcement of him not participating in the Arnold Classic this year. But unlike Darko, Jacked had his reasons set in stone. He said, “I’m pulling out from both Arnold’s. I’m having to do many things happening at the same time. From different factors and all needs my attention which makes it difficult to concentrate for this prep. I don’t want to go there for anything short of 100%. I just don’t want to make up the numbers, nor get placings if not for the win,” Jacked made his intentions known.
While many were surprised at Jacked’s decision to miss the Arnold’s this year, they would not have expected the news of another bodybuilder pulling out this soon.
