Arnold Schwarzenegger is the new Chief Action Officer at Netflix. That’s what the most recent advertisement by the streaming giant would have us believe. Earlier, the 75-year-old starred in an ad for Netflix where he rolled up to the streaming giant’s headquarters in his Patton tank. “No one loves action as much as I do,” said Arnie as he poked out his head from the driver’s compartment.
The camera then pans to the bodybuilding icon sitting inside his office at Netflix headquarters. As a man walks up to him to get approval for the “explosions” he asked for, Arnie says he wants “bigger” explosions. He then speaks about the MCU’s God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming Netflix venture, Extraction 2.

Schwarzenegger’s first task after accepting “a big new job,” was to scrutinize the action setpieces of various upcoming releases. Besides his show FUBAR, which will begin streaming on May 25th, people are also excited about Extraction 2. Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth released in 2020 and became an instant hit. It did so well that despite seemingly killing off Hemsworth’s character at the end, he is back for part 2.
After announcing his new position at Netflix, the Predator actor watched the newly released trailer for Extraction 2. While curling a pair of dumbbells, Arnie tells the MCU’s Thor to put some weight behind his punches. “Hit him harder,” said the 80s Hollywood action icon as Hemsworth punches a bad guy in the trailer.
Besides the Australian actor’s upcoming film, the bodybuilding icon also mentioned other upcoming, action-packed shows and movies. The former Mr. Olympia talked about The Night Agent, Heart of Stone, The Mother, Lift, and more. However, despite his age, the OG action icon of Hollywood will join the new generation of action stars with FUBAR.
The 75-year-old action icon’s return
Arnold Schwarzenegger has starred in some hits like Escape Plan (2013) and Terminator: Dark Fate (2019) since serving as Governor of California. However, with Netflix, the Governator is hoping to make a massive comeback. After FUBAR, Schwarzenegger will narrate his story in the three-part documentary, Arnold, coming June 7.
The Terminator star is also rumored to be collaborating with his old friend and legendary filmmaker James Cameron. According to Giant Freaking Robot, the 75-year-old will appear in Jame Cameron’s upcoming Avatar sequels as a Na’Vi.
