Hidetada ‘Hide’ Yamagishi is a Japanese IFBB pro bodybuilding?champion. He made history in 2007 as the first Japanese bodybuilder to compete in?Mr. Olympia.?Yamagishi was also the first ever Japanese bodybuilder to have been invited to the Arnold Classic. ?The Dragon? as he is called in the bodybuilding world, has had his struggles, be it personal or professional. Hide started bodybuilding at the young age of 16 to get into the rugby football team in high school. Today that same sport is bringing him the recognition he deserves.
Hide has had his share of achievements such as winning the Europa Show of Champions and placing 2nd in the Phoenix Pro and the New York Pro Championships. Now at the age of 50, Hide finally got the stage and throne that he has been fighting for and fans rejoiced.

The bodybuilder who was placed 9th in Mr. Olympia never lost his goal. Even after retiring, the one who wanted to become an MMA fighter won the 212 Masters Olympia. Standing at 5?7? and weighing 220 lbs in contests, Hide wasn’t the biggest guy on the IFBB pro stage. Despite this, he held his ground in the open class for years against formidable competitors. Later, he shifted to the 212 division at the 212 Arnold Classic.
