Winning Mr. Olympia is considered extremely prestigious only because it is the epitome of going through the most severe training regimes. It is well established that Mr. Olympia only chooses the best among the best bodybuilders in the world. Thus once a bodybuilder achieves this title, they can have all the worldly respect. As a coach those who train such winners, the coaches too can impart their excellence through these contests. And the same has happened with a 28 year old bodybuilder Chris Bumstead.
The legendary Chris Bumstead is now a five-time Mr. Olympia in Classic Physique. Although he seemed to be unwell both physically and mentally, before he went on stage, his confidence was visibly heightened, and later on he proved it not to be his arrogance but sheer belief in his own work. However, he does credit someone else for his success upon achieving the 5th title.

In his latest Instagram post, Chris Bumstead has shared a number of photos featuring him, his coach Hany Rambod, and one with Derek Lunsford, the winner of 2023 Mr. Olympia. The adjoining caption of the post is directed towards the man who helped CBum reach his peak by being the guide in his journey. Thus, CBum wrote, “People always ask what it?s like being coached by Hany, he?s the goat, there?s not much more I can say.”

Furthermore, Bumstead also focused on the evidence to portray the excellence of his coach. Rather than just saying how good his coaching is, CBum simply put forward the amount of medals won by Rambod. He stated, “24 titles speaks for itself. But more important he?s an even better man than coach and I?m grateful to be on this journey together. Love you brother.”
The greatness about CBum lies in the fact that he does not only show confidence but has backup evidence for such. Through thorough training, he managed to have the mindset of a winner. Let us look at what else he has attributed his trophy to.
The Champion mentality and winning
In one of his latest Instagram posts, Chris Bumstead boldly made a statement about how the trophy of Mr. Olympia is not the only thing that he is hyped about. According to him, Bumstead’s growth has another aspect that must be shed light on. Thus, in his post, he wrote,??I always understood it would be a mental game to stay at the top and I was willing to do almost anything to be mentally strong enough. But I was not willing to sacrifice who I was to win.??

Furthermore, he also added what makes him more proud. Among trophies and his own development as an individual, CBum chooses the latter without any hesitation. He wrote,??I am hell a lot more proud of who I was to win it. Who I became in the process of winning it. Champion mentality is the endless pursuit of being the best man I can be, regardless of if this trophy comes home with.?
