Mr. Olympia 2023 concluded on Sunday, 5th November, with some new champions and a few retaining their title. An Egyptian bodybuilder who resided in Kuwait to pursue a career in bodybuilding shared photos of him after the conclusion of the event. This led to mass criticisms from all over the internet.

Hassan Mostafa is a prominent figure in bodybuilding. With his sheer commitment and dedication, he earned his pro card. In 2022 at the Puerto Rico and Orlando Pro contests, he emerged as the champion. He began his professional bodybuilding career in 2019 and has been consistently improving in the Men’s Open Division. However, his recent acts have landed him in trouble.

Mostafa made his Mr. Olympia debut in 2021 and secured an impressive 13th place, which is quite incredible for a debutant. Despite his achievements in various competitions, the online community is bashing the bodybuilder for his recent social media update. He shared a few pictures of his injury, stressing that it had happened just one week before the prestigious event.

Mostafa wrote in his caption while posting bruised images of his triceps.” I gradually got up to 150 which is a usual weight for me. I lifted 125 dumbbell the set before and it felt light plus it was the last set of the last exercise of that day,” said Mostafa in his post.

Afterward, a fitness and bodybuilding enthusiast page ‘Bis and Tris‘ also shared info about his injuries and added to their post, “Hassan Mostafa shares some photos and a video showcasing a triceps tear he suffered while training a week out from the 2023 Mr. Olympia.” Netizens were in disbelief and outraged at the bodybuilder and flooded the comment section.

The users voiced out their dissent on Mostafa attempting a pullover with such weights.

One person wrote, “He’s lucky it’s only a partial tear,” and others angrily mentioned, “Why tf is he doing 150lb pullovers a week before the Olympia?”

Another furiously said, “Doing 150lb pullovers he was asking for it…”

And, “your not building muscle at a week out, this is ridiculous”

One sarcastically added, “Ah yes. Doing 150lb pullovers when dehydrated and depleted 1 week out from the biggest show of the year is a stellar idea LMFAO.”  “Dry to the bone 1 week out and training 150lb pullover. Look at Lee Preist said what you look like 2-3 weeks out you’ll look on stage. If you’re still trying to “catch up” you weren’t in shape no point doing stuff like this.”
