The?bodybuilding world has seen a lot of deaths recently such as of Justyn Vicky and Joesthetics. Both the deaths were for different reasons, but two of the iconic, and young bodybuilders still passed away. Joesthetics unfortunately lost his life to the aneurysm, and the world lost Justyn to a freak accident in the gym. These grave incidents keep the industry on its toes since there is no guarantee of perfect health anywhere. Recently Larry Wheels mentioned this fear in a podcast with Flex Lewis.

‘Flex Lewis | Straight Outta The Lair Podcast’ saw Larry and Lewis talk about light-hearted things like growing up, social media, arm wrestling, and training with Thor. However, there were serious discussions as well related to longevity and health. Let?s get into the whole ordeal and find out what Larry Wheels is scared of.

After conversations about different projects and viral moments, the conversation went to PEDs where the powerlifter, bench press world record breaker, and social media star talked about not leaving focus and not going to a dark place due to the hype of getting bulked. He talked about how to control the adrenaline and channel it so that the powerlifting was executed correctly.

This is when Flex Lewis, a 7-time 212 Mr. Olympia winner revealed that anxiety played a major role in his career. He asked Larry whether there was any hindrance he faced in his career path. Wheels immediately became candid and revealed that his anxiety stemmed from the fear of being healthy and watching other fit bodybuilders like Dallas McCarver pass away. His question is ?What?s stopping me from the same fate??

Even he used PEDs and pushed his limits, so it makes Larry think of the ?what ifs? when it comes to being healthy. Then he goes on to give his solution and says, ?The only way to curb that anxiety is just to get the blood work checked.? However, that only helps to reduce it but not curb the tension entirely. He then gives an example, ?You know Ryan Benson my coach had a heart attack a couple of years ago.? Even after getting all health checkups and scans in place, the inevitable could not be stopped.?

According to Wheels, ?Even if you are taking the necessary precautions, it can still happen.? He also mentioned Jo Lindner who passed away at just 30 years old, ?You know sometimes it’s irrational but then I look at the example of people?Joesthetics just passed away 30 years old you will think he is as healthy as can be.? This anxiety of an imminent fatal accident always stays with the champion even if it is not as acute as it was before. This also comes from the fact that the record-holding powerlifter was diagnosed with Rhabdomyolysis (which breaks down muscle tissue) causing him to go through hell.

The powerlifter and bodybuilding?champion recently took to his Instagram account and shared a video of himself working out his muscles in the gym. He wrote,??Not being able to bring arms in makes it hard to get a good contraction.?

He was doing a 10 rep shoulder press with heavy weights but the struggle was evident on his face. His muscles were paining and engaging them was difficult for the athlete. Larry Wheels has been taking PEDs until last year to hit the records. However, since he paid the cost of his health, he has realized the consequences.
