When it comes to icons that will never be forgotten in the world of Bodybuilding, the name of the New Yorker from Jamaica tops the list. The legend made his debut in the pro league at the age of 36 in 1999. He marked his name in the Olympia in the top 10 for three consecutive years and also won two pro shows in 2001.
Unfortunately, the year right after, during an elbow surgery, he suffered from a heart attack and went into a coma. When he resurfaced, he never got back into competing, but years later, he is still regarded as one of the Gods of bodybuilding. A recent picture of him on Instagram made his fans reminisce about the legend all over again!

Three days ago, the official page of ‘thearchivesofbodybuilding’ took to Instagram and posted a picture of Orville Burke posing on the stage. It was a post to remember the good old days of his fitness journey and this captivated the attention of all the fitness enthusiasts remembering the legend.

The man is known to have the perfect back. In 1999, once he mentioned to Flex how his back development dates back to his childhood days in Jamaica. He said, “My friends and I would do chins every day after school to see who was the strongest. When we started this competitive chins game, I had a very narrow back, but after months of doing chins every day, I eventually developed the V-taper you see today.”
