The bodybuilding world is waiting to witness the muscle monsters on the 2023 Mr. Olympia stage. Many elite bodybuilders will compete on stage, such as Hadi Choopan, Derek Lunsford, Andrew Jacked, Samson Dauda, and Nick Walker. While the cutthroat competition can be anticipated, the Mutant is confident about his win. However, his acting dream didn’t impress a veteran bodybuilding icon. 

Nick Walker, who is rigorously putting efforts into building a great physique for the upcoming Mr. Olympia, recently shared his interest in becoming an actor. But now the veteran bodybuilder Victor Martinez discusses how that could not work for him.

Victor Martinez dismisses Nick Walker’s acting plans

The bodybuilding sport offers athletes dreamy physiques. These ripped physiques can pave the path for bodybuilders to venture into arenas like acting, given that most Hollywood action and superhero films demand chiseled heroes. The one who did the transition perfectly is Arnold Schwarzenegger. After securing seven Mr. Olympia titles, the Austrian Oak went on to become a Hollywood superstar. 

Nick Walker wants to follow the legend’s suit and dream about an acting career. I have always had an interest in acting. “When I was in high school, freshman year, I would do the drama club and all that,” said Nick Walker in the Straight Outta The Lair, as per Generation Iron.

Now, the 2007 Arnold Classic winner, Victor Martinez, opens up about his thoughts on Walker’s comments. “He Will Be Totally Typecast,” the veteran bodybuilder confessed before adding that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey was a different freaking guide. However, Nick Walker confirmed that his immediate goals would be in the bodybuilding arena. 

Nick Walker is confident to lift the Sandow trophy

Since the inception of Mr. Olympia in 1965, it has gained huge popularity among the masses, and the golden era of bodybuilding is one of the reasons. The bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, and Lou Ferrigno from this era had etched their ripped greatness on the memory of the people. This year’s edition is scheduled for November, and bodybuilding fans can’t hold their excitement. 

Walker, who demands a huge fan following in the community, appeared on Cutler Cast and asserted that he would win this year’s Mr. Olympia despite the jacked physiques of his competitors. “There’s a lot of good guys you got Derek, you got Hadi, Samson, these are all good guys, Hunter’s looking great, but I believe in my own self,” he said in the podcast.

The 29-year-old had already created his mark in the sport by winning the Arnold Classic 2021 and coming in the top 3 at the 2022 Mr. Olympia.
