After a recent video of a man exercising through a leg machine went viral, many fans were startled with what looked eerily similar to an electric chair. However, the fitness influencer, Nick Strength and Power decided to cover the case and also give his own inputs as to what was up with what fans called, ‘Crazy Leg Machine’.

The viral video almost attested to the individual doing the workout session seemingly getting electrocuted or so it seems by his facial and physical expressions. Nick revealed the machine to be a ‘Biodex isokinetic dynamometer’, and then he went on to explain what was happening in the video altogether.

Through his latest YouTube short video, Nick Strength and Power talked about how the machine is a high-tech machine that is primarily directed towards the legs. He said, “It looks like a high-tech machine because it is but the guy is not getting electrocuted. This basically measures the strength endurance power and range of motion of all major joints and muscles specifically in the leg.”

Then Nick went ahead to explain how this machine is not usually used on a daily basis. He pointed out how it is mostly involved in Physical therapy and Athletic Rehab and their cost range is higher than $10,000.

When the fitness community saw the video they had their own speculations to expand on and while some commented with a comical tone, others imparted serious information regarding the same.

Fitness world discusses about the crazy leg machine

One of the fans pointed out the function of the machine. He said, “Assess a persons exact strength in that movement. Used to assess risk for jobs.” Another fan noted how difficult it would become to walk right after a session with this machine. “If worked on more, I could see this being a great way of superseting leg extensions and curls. Granted after a few sets you are not walking anywhere.” Yet another fan stated, “It quantifies force output effectively, offering a superior alternative to assessing 1RM squat or bench press, as it eliminates the skill factor, focusing solely on muscle force production.” While someone else joked, “The constipation simulator 5000.” Another fan also recognized, “He looks like in pain.”
