Not just a staple, but 84 years later, the character is still a fan favorite. Owing to its crazy popularity, DCU has decidedly rebooted another Batman film, and this time they are looking for a new actor and not Robert Pattinson or any of the previous ones. One name being thrown around is Jensen Ackles of Supernatural?and?The Boys fame. Bodybuilding?fans believe he is perfect for the part, even from a physical point of view.

Jensen Ackles was a fan favorite for a long time as Dean Winchester in Supernatural. He recently earned a lot of fandom for playing Soldier Boy in The Boys. Now, as he recently responded to the prospect of him playing Batman and fans are losing it. They are adamant that his physique is appropriate to put on the bat suit and be ‘The Caped Crusader’.

A YouTube short that’s been floating around the internet, taken from a media interaction Jensen Ackles had, which shows him talking about “his favorite superhero”. Ackles asked himself the question,?“Would I entertain the idea of playing my favorite superhero of all time?”?He followed it up with?“Nah!”?while the audience burst out in laughter. Ackles was clearly joking about being desperate to play the role by being ironic.

He continued,?“I mean, could I do it? Sure. Would I want to do it?”?This time, even before he could make a sarcastic joke again, the audience cheered in unison and said,?“Yeah”. They all love him and want him to do the part. Ackles gave in to their demand and repeated,?“Yes”. It was followed by more screaming.

Jensen Ackles, who also played ‘Soldier Boy’ in The Boys, had to maintain a certain bulked-up physique for the role. He trained hard for it, but the audience believes that he does not need to do it anymore for Batman. He is fine just the way he is. Batman has always required a bulky physique. Christian Bale once transformed from a measly-looking body to a bulked-up Batman for Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’ in 2005, shocking the director with his transformation.

The bodybuilding world believes Jensen Ackles is perfect for Batman

With Ackles being confirmed as one of three potential actors to play Batman in James Gunn’s DC Universe, fans believe that he is the right choice among all. Here’s why some of them believe he has the right physique:

He?s done well with the voice acting and he has the presence for a serious Batman,” wrote a fan who believes Ackles meets the other requirements for Batman besides his physique as well. After all, the actor has voiced the Dark Knight in several animated films. He voiced the character in ‘Batman: The Long Halloween‘ in 2021 and later ‘Legion of Super-Heroes‘ in 2023. As per reports, Ackles will once again lend his voice in the upcoming film ‘Justice League: Warworld‘, scheduled for this summer.

“He already is muscled up. He would kill it. Absolutely kill it as Batman,” wrote another fan who believes in Jensen Ackles’ perfection as Batman.?“He doesn’t need to be jacked to be Batman, he just needs to portray him right. He’s already toned enough,”?wrote a fan who believes that Ackles’ usual physique suits Bruce Wayne’s physique perfectly.

“Robert Pattinson proved that you don?t need to be super jacked to play to good Batman,” wrote a fan who found an interesting connection between the most recent Batman’s physique and Ackles. Many people were skeptical of Pattinson playing Batman, but once the film was released, critics showered him with praise. The character’s intensity was reflected in every scene.
