Despite reigning the bodybuilding sphere for years, IFBB icon Chris Bumstead does not allow himself to drift away with the madness of success. He had previously revealed that he intends to stay mindful of his health and not make bodybuilding his whole life. Therefore, in a recent interview with notable YouTuber Chris Williamson, the athlete opened up about his life’s plans.
Talking to the host, Bumstead candidly chatted about how he wishes his life to pan out, regardless of his success. Although acknowledging his triumphs in the field, the star athlete expressed his gratification, but that did not encourage him to surround his entire life with the sport.?

As per the interview, the 28-year-old champion admitted to having made an agreement with himself. He has decided to take full accountability for the upcoming steps in his life and fight the external influences that urge him to do something. ?I know that it?s not worth it to me, you know there?s a life after bodybuilding for sure, who I am is not a bodybuilder, there?s more to me than that I?ll be happy without it,? he said.?
The four-time Mr. Olympia Classic Physique winner is aware of and very grateful for his achievements in bodybuilding, but he believes there?s a life that is still to be lived for him. Moreover, his prior health conditions also played a role in forming this cautious mindset. The Canadian pro revealed that he would regret sacrificing a good life with a family of his own while on this run for greater success.
?it?s already been a great time but if I?m going to sacrifice my future life, hopefully with a family and my children of my own I?m going to be sick or unable to enjoy with them..that?s the biggest thing I would regret so,? Cbum confessed. Furthermore, sharing his plans if things don?t work out in the sport anymore, he added, ?I just kind of have to call it quits.? Likewise, he once subtly hinted at his retirement plans earlier this year.?

Appearing at the Truth Podcast, Bumstead discussed his bodybuilding career with former pro, Hany Rambod. The 6?1 bodybuilder believed that he can give his career one harder try the next year. If things don?t turn out well for him, Bumstead revealed he?d better be ?done? with it. ?I hope I trust myself enough to know that it?s time to check out because my one goal I have with retirement is retiring on top,? the star athlete said.?

There were speculations that Cbum might retire soon. In addition, he himself admitted to having lost weight and made jokes about not looking like a bodybuilder anymore. Giving in to his genuine nature, Bumstead honestly answered when Rambod pondered over his future plans in the sport. ?I?m not going to do something I used to love and now it stresses me out?? the pro disclosed.?
