From the first day of 2023, Arnold Schwarzenegger has helped over 400,000 people stick to their fitness commitments. With his daily newsletter, the seven-time Mr. Olympia has helped busy working Americans reintroduce fitness into their lives. From busting diet myths to no equipment and short but effective workouts, the fitness icon continues to provide high-quality advice. However, the 4th of July edition of Arnold’s Pump Club is different from the issues that came before.
Instead of giving fitness or diet tips backed by meta-analyses, Schwarzenegger took a trip down memory lane in his latest newsletter. The Hollywood action star wished all his readers a happy Independence Day and shared his plans with them. However, he had one suggestion for his?“village.”

Instead of starting with his daily dose of motivation and advice, Schwarzenegger told his readers to take it easy. “Today, we aren?t going to hit you with fitness and nutrition tips because I just want you to focus on enjoying yourself,” wrote the bodybuilding legend. 4th of July is among Arnie’s favorite holidays, and he wanted everyone to let loose for the special day.
Before sharing his plan with the readers, the Terminator actor revealed why the day is special to him. “When I was 10 years old, I knew I belonged in America,” Schwarzenegger wrote. Despite being born in Austria, the 75-year-old recalled watching a film about the United States that changed his life.
In the film, he is the Golden Gate Bridge, the skyscrapers, and the highways and dreams. For 10-year-old Schwarzenegger, it was like watching a magical land across the ocean. “I owe all of my success to this country, so I love celebrating it,” he wrote. The 75-year-old told his readers, even those who don’t stay in the united states, to “have a burger, eat some dessert,” in his newsletter. He then shared his plans.
It’s all for special days like Independence Day.
Instead of maintaining his strict routine, Arnie said he would ride his bike and then go to “BBQing” instead of Gold’s Gym. He also wrote about having “red, white, and blue desserts.” Instead of worrying about the calories or progressing toward his goal, Arnie only wrote about having fun.

He also explained why he wanted his newsletter subscribers to do the same.?“Days like today are why we eat well and exercise and have routines the rest of the time,”?he stated. While living and eating healthy should be one’s focus, Arnie wrote,?“What’s the point?”?if one can’t even enjoy a special day to the fullest.
