This was exactly the case in Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s movie ‘Twins’ which was released back in 1988. Along with Danny DeVito, ‘Arnie’ played the role of Julius Benedict, a genetically enhanced superior twin, whereas DeVito plays Vincent Benedict, who is the complete opposite of Julius in terms of personality and appearance.

In a fan-favorite scene from the movie, Arnold lifted a Cadillac with DeVito inside, setting off the car’s theft alarm. The Cadillac was worth $7593. The scene instantly created hype among the fans. In his recent edition of the daily newsletter, Pump Club, Schwarzenegger cleared a doubt of a fan who asked for a few details about the car scene.

Schwarzenegger answered a few questions asked by his fans, covering various topics such as the importance of exercise and protein ice cream recipes. Amidst these questions, one fan began by expressing their reviews about the new FUBAR series. They continued by asking if the car-lift scene was actually real or if it was just some ‘movie magic.’ “In the movie Twins, did you really lift that Cadillac or was there some movie magic (scene in garage with the car alarm going off)?” the fan asked.

Answering his question, the $450 million worth of actor revealed, “I hate ruining the movie magic but I’ll be honest with you: no. You have to do a lot of takes and it would have been a dumb risk.” He continued by disclosing that, “In Pumping Iron, Franco really did lift the car.”

After spending years in the entertainment industry, Schwarzenegger has made some good friends. Schwarzenegger maintains a close bond with DeVito, whom Arnold considers as a brother. Like most siblings, the duo has played a series of pranks on each other over the years.

During an episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Show, DeVito admitted that he once mixed a little something in Schwarzenegger’s cigar to have fun with him. DeVito explained that during the shooting of ‘Twins,’ there was a specific day that was not very busy. So the duo made plans of smoking cigars in DeVito’s trailer before the shoot.

“We come to my trailer, we smoke a stogie (cigar). I take the stogie that I’m gonna give him, and I stick a little weed in it. He smokes the stogie, smokes the weed,” DeVito disclosed. Continuing with the story, he explained that Arnold stood still, intoxicated due to marijuana until the director had to remind him of his line.
