The 2018 World’s Strongest Man, Hafthor Bjornsson, won three consecutive Arnold Sport’s strongmen titles from 2018 to 2020. Now that he has recovered from his pec tear and has also announced his comeback after a three-year break, fans of Thor are hopeful about his Arnold Sports appearance.

However, the announcement of his comeback is not the only declaration he made. In fact, photos and clips of his preparations have taken over the internet, making many believe that he can vie for the title again. The strongman recently put out one such update in which he was seen engaging in some major weightlifting.

Bjornsson lifts over 500 lbs overall

Through his latest Instagram post, Hafthor Bjornsson shared a clip of where he was lifting several weights and showcasing his preparations for the upcoming competition. The video first showed him handling 182 lbs, then 293 lbs, and moving on to as much as 793 lbs overall. The video also witnessed the strongman attempting to lift different kinds of weights in each of his hands.

He wrote in the caption of his post, “My last training session before I head out to the @arnoldsports and compete amongst the best in strongman.” Then he further added, “Feels good to be back and I’m thankful to be healthy and injury free leading into the competition. I compete Friday and Saturday.”

For Bjornsson’s fans, the training sessions may indicate his dedication to win and flourish in the competition upon his return to the strongman circuit. Earlier, he had not only revealed how hard he was practicing, but he also confessed the addictive feeling of being the World’s Strongest Man.

Hafthor’s true feelings about being World’s Strongest Man

Through one of his posts, Bjornsson once said how having the title of World’s Strongest Man and knowing one’s capacities are unmatched was truly overwhelming. So much so that, Hafthor reflected, “It’s such a powerful feeling, it’s hard to describe to people but when you are the strongest man in the world, it feels incredible.” 

Furthermore, he also added how the feeling might as well become addictive after a point. He said, “When you’re stronger than any other human on the planet, is a feeling that’s very addictive and it’s hard to let go.”
