Muscle Mind Media recently shared a video on their YouTube channel where Kevin Levrone is seen praising Dorian Yates. The video was titled “Kevin Levrone Reflects on Dorian Yates Who Raised the Bar in Bodybuilding ✊” Kevin Levrone acknowledges that Dorian Yates inspired him to push his limits in bodybuilding, especially after witnessing Yates’s growth and dominance.
Kevin Levrone praised Dorian Yates and said “I mean, Dorian Yates raised the bar for all of us. And he was just an amazing athlete. Even though people say, Dorian, you didn’t have the greatest genetics. But let me tell you something. He had enough genetics to do what he needed to do and to build a back like that and everything. So he had genetics. He just didn’t flow like we did. He had them in other areas you know to where he had that grainy, grainy, grainy look.”
Kevin Levrone mentioned that Dorian Yates earned the nickname “The Shadow” because he would quietly disappear, then reappear in Flex Magazine with impressive photos weeks before a show.
