Jay Cutler‘s journey to greatness did not follow a path covered with rose petals. Right from his childhood, overcoming hurdles was a natural occurrence for the 4x Mr. Olympia. Even though childhood was full of uncompassion and adversities, Cutler always turned the setbacks into a comeback through his rightful training approaches that also helped him establish himself as one of the modern-day bodybuilding greats.

Through every stage of his life, he came out as unbeaten and credit goes to his unshakable passion for bodybuilding and positive mindset. Recently, the bodybuilding icon spoke about his biggest motivation in life that has not only kept him successful but also has kept him mentally fit. His recent video opens up on his passion for dealing with mental barriers.

Jay Cutler talks about his biggest escape in his life

In a recent video uploaded by the ShawStrengthPodcast YouTube channel, Cutler, in a conversation with Brian Shaw, talks about the wonderful moments of his life. The former Mr. Olympia shed light on the fact that how gym was his biggest escape from all odds and challenges. 

Calling gym his escape from all the problems, he said, I felt the gym was my escape and I would train from 8 to 10 at night the gym would close at 10:00 it would allow me to really just when I got in those weights man it would just it just my mindset was just clear.” Talking about a challenge of his life, Cutler said that he had a vision of only challenging himself and he still does the same to this day. “Going through all the success and bodybuilding for a goal to be the best now, I can actually enjoy it again and I can challenge myself on a daily basis. It’s the still the best part of my day. he revealed. 

Jay Cutler has called the gym his home and everything inside it, he loves it. He said that he loved the equipment and weights. Even today, his love for bodybuilding and training has not died down. Recently, the legend shared an intense back-day workout session with his fans.

The 50-year-old recently shared his rigorous training. He did some back-area targeting exercises and also guided his fans with his favorites. These effective exercises have helped him gain well-developed mass and muscles.

In his 50’s, he still has a beast-like back and all the credit goes to these exercises he performed recently. This is not the first time he shared a back training video. Cutler went on to explain the benefits of the landmine exercise. He said, “The front-to-back thickness is what the T-Bars will work the most. So it’s your choice and preference on what grip you’d like to use and, of course, change of those grips from time to time.”  Undoubetly, such grit and determination even after retirement is rare. A virtue that seperates Jay Cutler from the rest into a league of his own known as ‘Greatness’.
