Coleman built a $200,000 home gym back in 2001 with all equipment like that of Metroflex.  “I’m gonna put everything in this gym that I have that Metroflex to be able to do the same exercises at Metroflex that I’m gonna do at my house,” he revealed in the video. He even disclosed that he trained at the gym for all his Mr. Olympia competitions except the last one.

He did so because he didn’t want any interruptions while prepping to claim the 9th Mr.Olympia title. At Metroflex gym, people visiting the place would ask him for autographs and some pictures. To avoid such distractions he opted for the home gym. “For me to get the title back I have to be totally focused no interruptions whatsoever so I’m gonna do this at home,” he told himself and worked out at his home gym.

And he feels that the experience was “pretty good” as he didn’t miss out on anything during the training at his extravagant gym. The 8x Mr. Olympia however never underestimates the role of the career-defining gym in his life and he recently inaugurated another branch in Tampa, Florida.
