Actor and fitness enthusiast Chris Hemsworth became a global star after playing Thor in the MCU films. Hemsworth is enjoying the downtime after a?“busy 10 years,”?portraying the iconic God of Thunder. However, he is not thrilled about heading toward a significant milestone, turning 40. In an exclusive interview with GQ Magazine, one of the most sought-after leading men of Hollywood said,?“I don?t think I wanna turn 40.”

The bodybuilding and MMA enthusiast admitted to still feeling 25. The actor’s tremendous fitness levels also help him feel younger than his age. However, for Chris Hemsworth, aging is much more than feeling old. While he believes he has?“heaps of time,”?a recent event has mellowed his perspective toward growing old.

During the interview with GQ’s Hannah-Rose Yee, the 39-year-old actor revealed he treats turning 40 as the?“halfway”?point in life. “More than halfway,” he added. However, what puts him off is the idea he has attached to the number. Hemsworth explained if he?“gets there,”?the reality of the mortality of human life would start sinking in.

The Extraction franchise star also said the feeling of mortality gripped him at the being of the year. In January, the god of thunder’s Avengers co-star, Jeremy Renner, got into a freak accident. While trying to protect his nephew, a snow plow ran over the actor. Renner’s injuries were life-threatening, and doctors had to reconstruct parts of his body on the operating table.

While Renner is on the road to recovery, nearly losing a fit and healthy co-star in an instant shook Hemsworth.?“We were all on our Avengers text chain, we were all chatting. And it was wild,”?explained the Australian actor. He realized that any of his loved ones?“could go at any minute. We?re getting to the age now where we?re going to start losing people we love,”?Hemsworth confessed during the interview.

However, his biggest loss came when Schwarzenegger’s friend and training partner Franco Columbu passed away. The passing of his best friend depressed Arnie, and he mourned his best friend for a long time. However, Schwarzenegger has also made new memories with a new generation of actors and bodybuilders.
