IFBB Pro, powerlifter, entrepreneur, fitness influencer, and bodybuilding coach. Marc Lobliner has worn many caps and is a veteran of the fitness industry, but at 43, he’s no longer as agile as he used to be. With age, the bodybuilding veteran has changed his exercise routine to keep his athleticism intact and his body injury-free. However, Lobliner suffered a back injury earlier.
The bodybuilding coach lifts hundreds of pounds in the gym with ease. However, agility and muscle building are quite different. While coaching some teenagers, the bodybuilder suffered an injury trying to keep up with them. Unlike the coaches who train from the sidelines, Marc Lobmliner likes to get involved. However, that got him into trouble.

“I regularly lift 500+ pounds and do hi-intensity agility drills alongside @LegacyatCarbon athletes,” Marc Lobliner wrote in the update. While the bodybuilder has been training for decades, aging gave him a rude awakening. “I hurt my mid back ‘shuffling’ for speed against U15 baseball players,” the entrepreneur wrote.

Lobliner said he wanted the young athletes to give it their all. As the coach, he didn’t want to let his pupils get an easy win. However, shuffling is a complex movement that puts a lot of pressure on the knees and back. Lobliner said he “spasmed right up… God’s way of saying, ‘You’re 43.'” While doing the intense and fast movement, the bodybuilder’s back gave out under the stress.
Although Marc Lobliner thought he was on top of the unavoidable phenomenon we call aging, sometimes things just go wrong. While “throwing out” his back would be a severe injury, Lobliner seems to be recovering quickly. Aging might be trying to catch up with the bodybuilder, but decades of exercise would help him recover much faster. In fact, even at 43, the IFBB Pro is hitting new PRs.

The bodybuilder set his own benchmark for 2024
Despite being 43, smart training protocols have helped Marc Lobliner progress in the gym. Even at his age, the experienced lifter is setting new goals for himself to smash. Right as 2023 was about to end, the bodybuilder attempted a dumbbell press PR. He pressed 130 lbs for a staggering 20 reps.

The Tiger Fitness Chief Marketing Officer said that he set the dumbbell PR so he would know what to beat in 2024. While hitting 20 reps with two 65-pound dumbbells at 43 is a huge feat in itself, Lobliner is looking to do even better this year. Although the injury might be a temporary setback, the veteran bodybuilder will look to come back stronger and work on the weakness.
